Great Cocktails are Your Civic Duty
Here in Australia we love the taste of a great cocktail. Using real fruit and sweetened perfectly, Monin Fruit Purees are the perfect thing to have around the house. In fact, we consider it our civic duty to make sure that you are prepared for any sudden visitations by friends and neighbours. With that in mind, we have compiled a list of our favourite drink recipes using Monin Fruit Purees.
We call this our Essential Drink List.
Pina Colada – There are a few drinks that you can find on every continent. The Pina Colada is one of the best. Take 60 ml each of Monin Coconut Fruit Puree and pineapple juice. Mix it with 45 ml of dark rum and 15 ml light rum, which is always the base of a great Pina Colada. Add about 400 ml of ice and blend until it is perfect. This can save you and your guests from an embarrassing evening of lukewarm beer and boring conversation.
Banana Island Daiquiri – Want to hear your friends tell you how awesome you are as a barkeeper? Just take 90 ml of MoninBanana Fruit Puree, 40 ml light rum, and 30 ml fresh lime juice, blended with 475 ml ice and you have a drink that is so awesome, your friends will be swinging from the trees.
Chocolate Raspberry Truffle –This is a wonderful drink that tastes like a chocolate cordial. Mix 22 ml Monin Raspberry Fruit Puree, 60 ml chocolate vodka, 15 ml lemon juice, and 15ml hazelnut liqueur. Add ice and shake vigorously in a martini shaker. Strain in to a martini glass and garnish with shaved white chocolate. You will love yourself for it.
Mango-lada – There are days that you simply need mango. Everyone has them and we encourage you to admit it. Using the Pina Colada recipe above, replace the Monin Coconut Fruit Puree with Monin Mango Fruit Puree. You will have a Mango-lada that will satisfy those sudden mango cravings every time.
Strawberry Margarita – There are very few pleasures in life like a Strawberry Margarita on a hot day or a cold day… or a random Tuesday. Blend 90 ml of Monin Strawberry Fruit Puree, 40 ml of the finest tequila, and 15 ml fresh lime juice until well mixed. Fill a glass with ice, pour the drink over the top, and raise your glass saying, “Viva la Margarita!”
